McKinney Falls State Park is a hidden gem near Austin, Texas. The park features two beautiful waterfalls, a swimming hole, miles of hiking and biking trails, and a camping ground. The park is named after Thomas McKinney, one of the original settlers in the Austin area. McKinney Falls is one of the most popular swimming holes in the park and is also a great spot for fishing and picnicking. The upper falls are approximately 25 feet tall and flow into a small pool at the bottom.
