Lake Georgetown is a man-made reservoir located in Georgetown, Texas. The lake was created in 1979 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the purpose of flood control and water supply. However, the lake has become a popular recreational spot, with over 10 miles of trails surrounding the lake and numerous campgrounds and picnic areas. The lake is also home to a variety of fish, including largemouth bass, catfish, and sunfish.
